The condenser is one of the main heat exchange equipment in the CONDENSING UNIT system, its function is to cool the high temperature discharged from the refrigeration compressor of the cold storage. The heat released by the refrigerant in the condenser is carried away by the cooling medium. According to the cooling medium, the condenser of the refrigeration unit is mainly divided into air-cooled and water-cooled:
1. Air-cooled condenser: It is suitable for use in the refrigeration system of small cold storage with small cooling load, and the heat released by the refrigerant is taken away by the air.
2. Water-cooled condenser: The heat released by the refrigerant in the cold storage compressor is taken away by the cooling water. There are many types of water-cooled condensers, such as casing type, shell and tube type and plate type according to their shapes.
Casing type condenser for CONDENSING UNIT: one or several copper pipes (smooth pipe or low rib pipe) with smaller diameter are set in a steel pipe or copper pipe with a larger diameter, and then arranged according to the unit. It is required to be bent into a round or U-shaped spiral pattern. The refrigerant vapor enters the outer casing from the upper part, and the condensate flows out from the lower part of the outer casing; while the cooling water enters the inner pipe from the lower part, flows in the opposite direction to the refrigerant, absorbs the heat of the refrigerant vapor along the way, and then flows out from the upper part. This type of CONDENSING UNIT is often used in combined cold storage and small cold storage Freon refrigeration systems with a cooling load of less than 40kW.
